Resume

Inês M. Tavares is an Assistant Professor at Lusófona University, Porto (Portugal). Tavares holds a PhD in Psychology by the Universidade do Porto (Portugal). Tavares is a Registered Clinical Psychologist (Portuguese Board of Psychologists) and a trained clinical sexologist (Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology) and couples' therapist (ICEEFT). She held a prestigious Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at Dalhousie University (Canada) and at the University of British Columbia (Canada), from 2022-2024. Tavares has developed research in the following topics: male and female sexual health, pregnancy and postpartum sexuality, dyadic research, longitudinal research, and experimental sex research. Currently, Tavares supervises Master and Doctoral level students. She is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
