- Concepts, historical background, importance and objectives of HRM in Aeronautical Management - Organization strategy and strategic Human Resources Management - Job analysis: Job description and analysis; Human Resources Management by competencies; and challenges of work and Human Resources Management - Recruitment, attraction of human capital and selection - Reception, socialization and retention of Human Capital - Evaluation, training and performance improvement - Management of retribution and benefits - Restructuring and Downsizing processes and dysfunctions

Objectives
- Raise awareness of the importance and objectives of HRM in Aeronautics Management; - Develop an understanding of the importance of Strategic HR Management; - Identify the methods and techniques for describing and analyzing jobs and drawing up competency profiles for the aeronautics sector; - Identify the methods and techniques for attracting, recruiting and selecting candidates; - Know the methods and techniques for welcoming, socializing and retaining employees; - Identify performance assessment, training and development tools; - Know the systems for managing staff rewards and benefits; - Describe restructuring, downsizing and dysfunction systems.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
This curricular unit consists of a theoretical component and a practical component. The theoretical component is taught through the interactive expository method, as students are challenged to think about situations and find solutions to the problems presented using a set of slides that address the various programmatic contents, videos and articles. In the practical component, the 'learning by doing' method is used, with special emphasis on the work developed by students throughout the classes, with various activities and case discussions - Case studies from the aeronautics sector - Analysis of recent scientific articles on HRM issues - Promoting contact with the HR department of aeronautical companies
