Concepts: Ethics, morality, bioethics, law and deontology The importance of professional ethics in the field of aesthetics Moral conscience | conscientious objection The person: dignity of the person and the principle of respect for the person. Bioethical challenges throughout the life cycle. General concepts for regulating health products (cosmetics and medical devices) and food supplements National and European regulatory framework Medical devices: - Border demarcation and classification Products with an aesthetic or other non-medical purpose similar to medical devices (ANNEX XVI to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices) Cosmetic products: Safety assessment, Distribution and Importation Market Surveillance of Cosmetic Products - Cosmetovigilance and Medical Devices - Medical Device Surveillance. National and European systems Dietetic and Naturopathy Products Border products between food supplements and medicines

Objectives
Objectives
The learner should be able to distinguish the fundamental aspects of Ethics and Bioethics by recognizing the concepts and differences between Ethics, Bioethics, Moral, Law and Deontology; they should be able to distinguish personal and professional values and know and interpret professional deontology. The learner should be able to discuss the bioethical challenges present throughout the life cycle. Know the regulations concerning medical devices, cosmetics and food supplements. for Life Sciences.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Inverse learning, the student prepares the lessons under the guidance of the teacher, at the end the students evaluate their peers and make a self-evaluation, in order to stimulate knowledge and self-criticism. Availability of the teacher to monitor the preparation of lessons and organisation of content. Knowledge progression tests throughout the semester are prepared at home through the learning platform.
