Presentation
Organic chemistry is the part of chemistry that studies the compounds of the carbon element, the so-called organic compounds, substances present in living organisms whose spontaneous or induced transformation of the functional groups of these molecules generate new compounds in everyday life. Organic compounds are also the main constituents of drugs of animal, vegetable or synthetic origin that determine the processes of life, as well as have played an important role in forensic science, agriculture, environment, food and health among others.

Objectives
Objectives
Acquire a global perspective on the study of chemistry and its interaction with other sciences. Acquire basic knowledge of current chemistry and scientific methods for application in the laboratory or industry in specific areas such as Environment, Food, Biochemistry, Biology, Health. Develop observation, reasoning and logic in problem solving and drawing conclusions. Prepare the student in knowledge and handling of chemical material in the laboratory following the rules of risk and safety. Allow students to distinguish natural molecules extracted from plants, microorganisms and synthetic molecules and relate their structures to their reactivity and biological potential. Know how to synthesize molecules in the laboratory, purify them and identify them using traditional and modern techniques. Through the experience¿s students will initiate research in certain areas and will be integrated into the teachers' projects.
