Objectives
Objectives
There are different ways of conceiving films and expressing cinematic creation, just as there are different ways of dreaming, reflecting and working in the world of cinema. In this sense, documents play a fundamental role, as they provide an in-depth understanding of films, making it possible to follow the creative process of their authors, their search for shots and sequences, faces and voices, colors, lights and spaces, as well as dialogues and long takes, etc. The Curricular Unit ACAC IV - SHORT FILM proposes an exploration of cinema from the perspective of the multiple materials that underpin the conception of a film. From the initial ideas and notes to the post-production phase, the unit covers documentation, shooting locations, visual references, working with actors, organizing the shoot and sound composition. This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the creative process and the complexity involved in filmmaking.
