Presentation
The various levels of approach in this discipline were structured with a view to providing students with the main concepts and theoretical bases on the interface between Politics and Communication in three fundamental aspects: political communication, political marketing and journalism/public opinion. The changes registered in political communication due to the influence of new communication and information techniques and technologies and the way in which relations between mass communication and politics have been processed constitute bases for work. This curricular unit aims to encourage students to study the articulation between communication, democracy and citizenship, based on the problematization and analysis of concrete current cases, with systematic use of scientific studies and analyses.
