Class Legal Medicine

This uc adopts a line that is part of the path initiated with the uc Forensic Sciences and Criminal Investigation, aiming to train students in the field of activities, examinations and medico-legal expertise, in order to familiarize future criminologists with this scientific domain and understanding of reports prepared by coroners and forensic doctors

The detection, documentation, collection and preservation of evidence and sampling material (stains, body fluids, etc.). The chain of custody. Quality control and quality assurance. Scope and limitations of medico-legal and forensic expertise´s in: forensic pathology. clinical forensic medicine. forensic genetics. forensic toxicology. forensic anthropology. forensic dentistry. forensic psychiatry and psychology

The classes will be attended by technicians and scientists who operate in the area, in specific areas of Forensic Medicine, who will provide information on the use of different techniques in medico-legal activity
