Objectives
Objectives
Familiarize students with concepts and statistical techniques necessary for a correct formulation and interpretation of criminological models with the statistical treatment of data in the presentation of the results of a study. Formulate and analyze mathematical and statistical models and introduce Data Science. Productively use the following computer applications: SPSS and R. Interconnect the investigation with the statistical treatment of the data in the presentation of the results of a study

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Expositive, demonstrative, participative and problem solving. The course unit can be carried out by continuous assessment or by final assessment. The final classification (FC) of the course unit by continuous evaluation is obtained from the classifications obtained in the written component (T / P) and in the practical component (P). The written component consists of two written frequencies and is related to theoretical content. The minimum classification in each frequency is 8 points. The practical component consists of 2 moments of practical assessment performed during classes, and must be equal to or greater than 9.5 values. The final classification is calculated using the following formula: FC = 0.50 TP + 0.50 P. The classification of all assessment instruments is expressed on a scale of 0 to 20, with the weighted value of the obtained classifications having be equal to or greater than 9.5 values.
