This discipline has the goal to explain de funcioning of economic policy. This discipline explain the performance of public powers, how they utilize several instruments to obtain certain objectives. Describes the atuation of public powers, defines the objectives and the instruments, namely the monetary and exchange rate policy and budgetary policy. It referes, also, some microeconomic or structural policies.

Objectives
Objectives
Understand the fundaments of economic policy process; To know the most relevant powers and actors of economic pollicy; Understand the role of monetary, exchange rate and budgetary policy in stabilization of economy; To know some of the big problems to decision making in economic policy. Understand the importance of structural policies in business. The discipline gives a global vision of the powers and actors of economic policy and also refer the principal kinds of economic policies, and the limitations of economic plicies in national and international context. The knowledge of economic context where managers operate is fundamental for their activity.
