The discipline of seminar about portuguese economy intends that students make an individul or ingroup work about some topic related with portuguese economy. The scope of the discipline is the integrationof several knowledge obtained during the course. We intend tohave an holistic vision of portuguese economy with some sinergies. The objectiv is also that students have an autonomous thinking and know how to make research about any topic of potuguese economy.

Concepts about methodology of scientific work. During the semester the teacher play as a tutor that accompany the elaboration of work by students, giving advice how to choose the topic of research, how to apply the methodology and to develop the work, making suggestions about how to develop the work and to make the writting of final document.

Objectives
To know the methodologiesof making a scientific work. Make a scientific work about portuguese economy. Know how to communicate the results of a scientific work. Obtain deep knowledge avout certain area of portuguese economy. Develop the capacity of making, writting and present some technical responsability documents. Know the rules of making scientific and technical documents. Know the several sources of information, traditional and recent like internet and how to treat iit.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The seminar is elaborated through a work on the portuguese economy. Students are encouraged to develop scientific thinking and critical thinking about a given topic related to the portuguese economy and to present innovative solutions with a view to its resolution.
