The Photography curricular unit is practical in nature and aims to awaken students' aesthetic sensitivity to photography, with a focus on creating fashion images. Students should be able to communicate the concepts, stories and trends of fashion brands and designers. It is a curricular unit that introduces students to the practice of photography in the context of fashion, seeking to develop their visual culture, encouraging research and communication and enabling them to engage in dialogue and teamwork.

Objectives
Learning objectives: Know how to adapt photographic techniques to the concept defined for the photograph. Knowing how to identify suitable settings for the subjects to be photographed; Know how to identify creative responses to the photographer's needs; Know how to analyse the suitability of the means to the idea or intentions for taking photographs; Know how to express opinions and discuss positions based on sensitivity, experience and knowledge acquired in the field of photography; Develop a sense of individual research in the search for solutions that correspond in some way to artistic sensibility; Contribute to the integration of knowledge and manual skills, realising work by applying knowledge of chosen materials and techniques; Conceive fashion photography images for use in various media.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Visual and exemplary presentations will focus on various important aspects of photography. In the classroom, the assignments proposed for assessment will be introduced, with the teachers assistance, but students will be expected to develop work independently. The assignments are essentially practical, involving research, planning, organization and execution. Student-centered teaching and learning-by-doing are encouraged, with the teacher facilitating the learning experience.
