The Patternmaking and Manufacturing Atelier IV course is a fundamental field for Fashion Design and Production. Deepening the technical fields of modelling and dressmaking is essential in fashion design. The course involves developing a classic blazer to deepen techniques and devising two garments, which were devised in the Fashion Design Laboratory I course. The work is individual and practical throughout the semester.

1. Developing a blazer jacket by deepening your knowledge of different materials and patternmaking techniques, complemented by manufacturing and finishing techniques; 2. Construction of the lining of a blazer jacket; 3. Development of the patternmaking and manufacture of two garments, based on the individual project for Fashion Design Laboratory I; 4. Practising patternmaking in the development of garments involves following a technical sheet for each work/garment.

1. Organising a basic patternmaking library; 2. Deepening technical areas of pattern-making and dressmaking: Knowing how to pattern-cutting and manufacturing a blazer; 3. Collection Project Fashion Design Laboratory I: developing two-dimensional patterns, transforming the patterns of two garments and making them out of the final fabric.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The course will be developed through theoretical-practical, expository, and demonstrative sessions, as well as experimental practical work developed during class sessions. Foster also facilitates participatory learning and promotes teacher/student interaction. Tutorial teaching will be used to monitor the project throughout the course unit.
