The raison d'être of this curricular unit is to sensitize students to the importance of statistics (and quantitative methods). This is important for: - systematize large amounts of information - through statistical indicators (immediate interpretation). - describe and understand relationships between variables and identify the most important relationships to make better and faster decisions and make more informed judgments.

Objectives
At the end of this curricular unit students will: be able to identify the usefulness of quantitative methods, identify statistics and discuss their use and interpretation; operate the computer tools to process information and examine the relationship between variables.
