Objectives
Objectives
General objectives:: To broaden the range of technical, theoretical and conceptual skills specific to painting as an artistic practice and field of research. To ensure that the experimental and personal universe of each student is maximised in this learning process. Specific objectives: To understand the canon of compositions known as the still life and the possibilities of developing and updating them, in particular through the analysis of cabinets of curiosities, hunting animals, undergrowth, flowers, food, trompe-l'oeil, vanitas, emblems, attributes of the Virgin, attributes of the Saints and the Protestant or Catholic Easter. Apply this theoretical and visual knowledge to contemporary artistic practice. To develop an individual project for public presentation/exhibition at the end of the school year.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The relevant pedagogical methodology in this CU is tutorial contact. The individualised approach aims to broaden visual culture and stimulate the development of languages and technical processes, critical vision and research methodologies. The tutorials are conversations on the concepts underlying the objectives to be achieved: conceptual references, examples of works by national and international artists relevant to each case and bibliography are indicated, as well as the conception of the artistic proposal, in order to broaden the vision of each student individually. Critical and self-critical skills will be developed through collective classroom discussions on the processes and results of carrying out each exercise, promoting the use of appropriate technical terminologies. Where relevant, there are theoretical sessions, artist visits (in and out of) and study visits to complement the artistic context of relevant themes and events.
