Andreia Machado

Resume

Assistant Professor at the Lusófona University of Porto, Portugal and a researcher at HEI-Lab. PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Minho. She has participated in several investigations on violence in intimate relationships, highlighting the project GAM - Intervention groups for women victims of intimate partner violence, violence in intimacy against men and bidirecional violence. She employs both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. In addition, she worked as a psychologist and forensic expert and as a trainer in the area of domestic violence and gender equality. She is author and co-author of publications at national and international level in the field of Victimology and Forensic Psychology and is also a reviewer of several international journals. Member of the Portuguese Board of Psychologists.
