Resume

I graduated in 2012 from the Dipartimento di Fisica, "La Sapienza," Università di Roma, specializing in Mathematical Physics. From November 2013 to November 2016, I was a PhD student at the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) in L'Aquila. I defended my PhD in July 2017, which was awarded by the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA). Between December 2016 and May 2017, I was supported by INFN to complete my thesis. From June 2019 to April 2023, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon, the Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) in Pisa, and LUISS Guido Carli in Rome. During these periods, my main research areas included: Anosov maps, Discrete Hodge decompositions, Lattice gas models in nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, Hydrodynamics, Wavefunction physics. From June 2023 to February 2025, I worked in the HPC Department of CINECA, primarily as an HPC Data Engineer, where I prototyped, trained, and evaluated deep learning models for weather forecasting in a pilot project called "The AI General Circulation Model", aimed at developing an AI-based nowcasting service. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor (Professor Auxiliar) of Mathematics at the Departamento de Engenharia Informática e Sistemas de Informação of Universidade Lusófona. As a researcher, I am an integrated member of the Grupo de Física Matemática (GFM) at IST Lisbon, funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and a collaborator of COPELABS(ILIND, Universidade Lusófona), a research unit of Center of Technology and Systems (CTS). While I have resumed work on my previous research lines, I also aim to explore a new research direction in Statistical Learning Algorithms. In the past, at various times, I have worked as a high school teacher in both the public and private sectors.
