Resume
Nuno Peres currently holds an Assistant Professor position at the Faculty of Engineering of Lusófona University - Lisbon University Center, and a Collaborator of the CERIS research centre, graded "excellent" by the Portuguese Foundation for Science & Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering / Structures (2021) from NOVA School of Science and Technology, and also holds a M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering (Structures) and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering Sciences, both from NOVA School of Science and Technology. His main research area is Structural Mechanics, focusing on (i) thin-walled structures, (ii) generalized beam theory, (iii) structural stability, (iv) curved and/or pre-twisted bars and (v) beam FE for large displacements and finite rotations.
