SORAYA VASCONCELOS is a visual artist, Auxiliary Professor at Lusófona University (Lisbon) and researcher at CICANT (Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture, and New Technologies). She has a degree in painting, studied photography and philosophy and has a PhD in Communication, Culture and the Arts (2014, UAlg). She was a researcher for the project O Impulso Fotográfico (2019-22; ICNOVA) and co-curator of the resulting exhibition, (Des)Arrumar o Arquivo Colonial (2023; Museum of Natural History and Science). Her artistic practice includes photography, drawing, publishing and installation.
