Objectives
At the end of this Curricular Unit (UC) the student should be aware of the implications that may occur after the use of in vitro fertilization techniques for the couple and/or the child born. As well as the use of these techniques with gamete donation and its familiar implications. It is expected that students at the end of this UC understand and know how to apply the legislation in force. For example, which age limit and which are the Assisted Reproduction techniques aimed at? Or, what is the fate of cryopreserved embryos? It is also expected that the student will be able to make a comparison between Portuguese law and those of other countries.
