Syllabus
1. Access to Law and to effective judicial protection in the labour field: diagnosis and some solutions in the field of legitimacy and causes for the defence of individual, collective and diffuse interests. 2. The principles of procedural labour law. 3. The labour jurisdictional system and its procedural assumptions. 4. Species and forms of process: the common form and special forms of declaratory process 4.1. Action for recognition of the existence of an employment contract 4.2. Lawsuits arising from accidents at work and occupational disease 4.3. Action opposing dismissal on grounds of its unfairness/illegality and action opposing collective dismissal. 4.4. challenging the confidentiality of information and interpretation of collective bargaining agreement clauses.

Objectives
Given the foundational notions of Labour Law and Civil Procedure carried over from the 1st study cycle by students, the main objective of this course unit is to convey specific knowledge of Procedural Labour Law, while drawing attention to the protection of relevant legal goods and to the characteristics that shape individual and collective labour relation - all with the purpose of providing the students with methodological tools that help them carry out scientific research in a critical, consistent, and autonomous way.

The classes will focus on both theorical and practical issues but will have a strong theoretical-expository methodology that is thought necessary for the proper development of master’s students. There will also be presentation of works by students, and subsequent discussion in class in the form of seminars.
