Theorical: History of assisted reproduction Introduction to Assisted Reproduction Techniques Oocyte pick-up Embryo transfer Reproductive surgery Uterine transplant Pregnancy and complications in assisted reproduction Theoretical-Practice Component: Seminars on the applicability of different medically assisted reproduction procedures.

Objectives
Objectives
Throughout the CU, students will acquire skills in the general concepts of assisted reproduction procedures, starting from historical origins and learning, in general, what the assisted reproduction treatments consist of. The main causes of infertility will also be addressed, in an introductory way, so that students become familiar with the clinical procedures associated with these techniques, especially follicular puncture and embryo transfer. This unit also includes training in reproductive surgery and pregnancy monitoring, as students must acquire knowledge in these aspects of reproduction and pregnancy.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Presentation of illustrative slides and in an interactive way on the subjects of this CU, emphasizing discussions on the contents in order to promote better integration of the concepts. Possibility of virtual visits to reproductive medicine units and training operationg rooms. Presentation and discussion of scientific papers in subjects related to the CU. Guest speakers, experts im the CU subject.
