The Internship takes place in institutions associated with the exercise and well-being of recognized merit through the conclusion of a protocol between the UL and the Internship institution (IE), under the supervision and evaluation of a professor from the FEFD. The intervention is organized according to a Problem-Based Learning model, it is intended that, following this model, practices are chosen, organized and justified, in the following perspectives: 1) that the proposed practices are based on evidence, committed to a high degree of scientific knowledge that will govern the decisions taken; 2) health promotion through the exercise of interventions by recipients (i.e. gym customers, clinic or hospital users); 3) qualification of the EI service; 4) learning by the interns themselves, aimed at training the skills inherent in the functions of specialists in exercise and well-being corresponding to the master's degree.

The weekly meetings with the supervisors take place in an individual format or in a semi-seminar format. The 3 stages allow, with increasing complexity and depth, the development and partial formative evaluation of the works. The evaluation conferences allow the partial formative evaluation of the works, serving as milestones. The final evaluation before a jury of at least three elements, includes 20 min of oral presentation, followed by 60 min of questioning by the jury, this time being equally divided between the jury and the student. Classifications are calculated according to the following: 65% of the grade is given to the internship process developed by the student and 35% for the quality of the internship report, with the following criteria: > 18 publishable in a journal with FI>1; 17-18 publishable in IF<1; 15-16 Indexed in Pubmed, Sportdiscus or Scielo without FI; <15 not indexed
