Objectives
. To understand the meaning and need for epistemological rupture in the construction of scientific knowledge. . To know the historical emergency and the characteristics of the quantitative paradigm; . To know the conditions of the emergence of qualitative research. . Understand, in its main features, the characteristics of qualitative research. . Deepen the knowledge of the main techniques of data collection in qualitative research: +The survey. + The participant observation. +Documentary analysis. . Deepen the knowledge of some of the main techniques of data analysis in qualitative research, with special focus on content analysis.

The Doctoral student will receive, at the beginning of the Seminar, a set of texts that will be the basis of most contents that will be treated throughout the sessions in addition to indication on broader bibliographic references, that will have to consult before class to be able to actively participate in the construction of knowledge.
