Class Quantitative Research Methodologies

This type of course purports to give the student an ample vision of the methodological answers to different research questions which are adequate to a quantitative approach: experimental and quasi-experimental methods when causal concerns are at stake; relational approaches and descriptive ways. One purports to exemplify each of these approaches while answering concrete research questions. Based on research questions and the adopted methodology, statistical techniques are divised, their assumptions taken into consideration, the ways to perform the analyses with one or two statistical softwares and, finally, the interpretation of the results. This scope of the study is important for the planning and realization of an empirical approach, in its application as well as in the interpretation of its results.
