Da Vinci. 19TH and early 20TH centuries: journalism for the masses. The Photograph.From  Joseph Nicéphore Niépce to the advertising communication. Image concepts. The film and the Lumière brothers. The film as a documentary. The comics and the Cartoon. The poster: art and propaganda.

    Objectives

    Media and communication history aims to present the most significant and primordial media, its uses and the way in which they were used. It is intended to promote the critical spirit, as well as research and argumentation capabilities of students.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Classes based on watching full-length films (short, medium-length and feature-length films) and their collective analysis in class. The dynamics of the classes are based on the experience of cinematographic narratives in a projection room and the pedagogical process is based on the dialogical exercise with students.
