Presentation
This curricular unit aims to introduce students to the concepts and practices of multimedia product design. It explores fundamental concepts of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human-Centered Design (HCD), and Communication Design in digital media. Students will explore human-centered design methodologies, prototyping and evaluation techniques, and principles of visual design, interaction, and navigation in digital environments. In addition, the course will allow critical reflection on the impact of multimedia design on contemporary communication, investigating its potential as a tool for change and innovation in different contexts. It will also allow the student to reflect on the impact of multimedia product design on communication and explore its potential as a tool for change.

Objectives
Objectives
This curricular unit aims to develop the following competencies: Understand multimedia design and its applications. Learn about interaction paradigms from a historical perspective; Explore Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodologies, including user analysis techniques, creating personas, and developing scenarios. Validate the usability and accessibility of multimedia solutions by applying prototyping and evaluation techniques (with users and experts). Develop an in-depth understanding of digital interfaces, exploring concepts of visual design, interaction, and navigation. Integrate and evaluate artificial intelligence's impact on multimedia content production, exploring its influence on creation, interaction, and digital communication. Critically analyze the role of multimedia design in contemporary communication, reflecting on its potential as a tool for social change and innovation.
