Objectives
Objectives
Review and broaden the basic principles indispensable for the rational understanding of the physicochemical behaviour of matter; Know the structure, nomenclature and physicochemical properties of some families of organic and inorganic compounds; Know the types of chemical reactions in aqueous solution; Know and understand the information contained in the safety data sheets; Know the safety rules associated with handling chemical substances, as well as the associated symbology; Understand the hazardousness of a substance in order to assess the associated chemical risk; Autonomously and critically apply the knowledge acquired to new chemistry situations with interest to Civil Protection Engineer.
