The Electric Circuits II curricular unit belongs to the 1st year - 2nd semester of the degree in Electrical Engineering of Power Systems. This curricular unit intends to develop structuring skills in the analysis of electrical circuits, but the techniques presented can be applied to the analysis of other types of systems and can even serve as a model for them. For the Electric Circuits II course, knowledge previously acquired in Electric Circuits I may contribute, as well as the Mathematical Analysis I and II, Algebra and Physics courses. This course, together with Electric Circuits I, forms the basis of the study of all areas of electrical engineering.

Objectives
Objectives
The student must be able to: - Analyze electrical circuits based on their modeling. - Identify the most expeditious analysis method for each electrical circuit, be it a dipole or a quadripole. - Identify and choose the necessary instrumentation connections that allow the predicted value of electrical quantities to be verified in a real circuit. - Understand the operation and applications of operational amplifiers. - Understand the functioning of the circuits, distinguishing situations of permanent regime and transitional regime. - Analyze unbalanced three-phase circuits.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
In addition to stimulating group learning, in theoretical practical classes, students are asked to carry out research work that introduces them to the concept of frequency selective circuits. This topic is approached and discussed in several theoretical and practical classes in order to guide students in organizing their research and structuring their work. This culminates in a public presentation in class and a written report.
