Class Management Systems of Quality and Environment

This Curricular Unit is part of the study plan for the Degree in Environmental Engineering. Knowledge about quality management systems and environmental management systems applied to organizations is presented, in a theoretical and practical application approach. The contents of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and EU regulations and decisions on environmental and quality management are used. It is a fundamental curricular unit in any Environmental Engineering program.

1. Technical skills: knowledge of the essential concepts associated with quality and environmental management at the level of organizations, as well as the respective systems and their integration. 2. Personal and professional skills and attitudes: Thinking and solving problems on environmental, health and safety management. Development of knowledge integration capabilities. 3. Acquisition of inter-personal skills: Training the development of team work. Improvement of written communication through the preparation of technical reports.
