To convey the principles and main theories of the image throughout the times. To communicate essential tools to the analysis of an image in different contexts. To develop the capacity of discourse over static images and the moving image

1. Representation: morphological, dynamic and scalar elements of the image. 2. A cinematographic language: narrative elements, image typologies, som functions, aspects of montagem. 3. Cinema Theories: formalism, Soviet montage theory, Kracauer's realism and Bazin, a theory of the author, a theory of the genre. 4. Acting in the relationship with the audiovisual image: approaches and techniques.

The program contents will be transmitted through the expository method and active learning through reading and discussion of texts, analysis of images from audiovisual works.
