This CU aims to provide a critical understanding of the philosophical foundations that underpin sporting practice. Its field of action focuses on epistemological, ethical and aesthetic issues, analyzing the body-consciousness relationship, the foundations of knowledge and the values that regulate sport in contemporary times. The area of action includes reflection on sports ethics, aesthetics as an educational value and the cultural nature of sport. These areas of intervention are fundamental to the training of critical professionals, capable of understanding the sporting phenomenon beyond the technical, reinforcing its humanistic dimension and contributing to conscious and socially responsible pedagogical practices.

Objectives
Objectives
Learning Objective (LO) 1: Recognise the contributions of the philosophy of sport to a broader understanding of the human condition and the practice of sport. Teaching method (TM): lectures and group discussions. LO2. Analyse the different philosophical approaches in order to understand the nature and purpose of sport in society, including the role of the body, competition and personal fulfilment. TM: lectures and group discussions. LO3. Understand the importance of ethics and aesthetics in the development of knowledge and in the exercise of professional activity. TM: Lectures and group activities. LO4. Critically analyse ethical and moral issues that arise in the sports environment, such as doping, violence, discrimination, among others. TM: Lectures, practical activities, and collective discussion. LO5. Analyse the importance of ethics in the philosophy of sport. TM: Lectures, practical activities, and collective discussion.

Different teaching methodologies (TMs) will be used: Expository lectures (TM1), Resolution of practical cases (TM2), Viewing and discussion of documentaries/videos (TM3), Bibliographic research (TM4), Analysis of scientific articles (TM5), Small group activities (TM6), Feedback provided by the professor on the work performed (TM7).
