    This CU, from the 1st cycle, and from the scientific area of Physical Education and Sport, addresses the study: 1) of the particularities inherent to the assessment and planning processes within the scope of sports sciences and 2) curricular plans and programs for Curriculum Enrichment Activities and School Sports. These themes are addressed in an integrated manner with the evaluation process, resource management and collaboration with the various public agents involved. The theoretical-practical approach of this CU studies the methods and practices of planning and evaluation, considering the activities, contents and objectives of these curricula, taking into account the different spectra of the profession of the graduate in sport. It is intended that the student, through research, debate, critical reflection and laboratory practice, understands the specifics of Physical Education and Sport, and its relationship with the teaching process.

    The syllabus (CP) of this CU is: 1. Fundamental concepts, assumptions, and implications for planning and evaluation in physical education and sport. 2. Study of Physical Education programs in the 1st cycle of Basic Education, School Sports, and AECs: objectives, syllabus, and pedagogical processes. 3. Concepts and types of evaluation: values and criteria; evaluation moments; functions: diagnostic, formative, summative; criteria, and normative references. 4. Project planning and evaluation. Planning in collective and individual sports. 5. The assessment of physical fitness in physical education and sport: FitEscola and the Australian Model. 6. Planning and periodization of sports activities within the scope of AECs and School Sports
  • Objectives

    Objectives

    The main learning objectives (OA) are: 1. Know and interpret the national physical education programs of the 1st cycle of basic education, school sports, and curriculum enrichment activities. 2. Know and interpret the topics and objectives of physical and sports activities in the different programs. 3. Know, apply and interpret the different assessment methods, suitable for different programs, and for the different components of physical fitness in the population. 4. Connect the programs and their application, considering the context of planning, organization, and pedagogical management. 5. Critically analyze examples and problems identified in real context through field studies, classroom observation, and/or seminars in class, planned and conducted in small groups. 6. Plan and evaluate interventions within the scope of the CU, quantifying and qualifying the own productions and those of the colleagues.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    The teaching methodologies (ME) are: Lectures (ME1); Resolution of practical cases (ME2); Viewing and discussing videos (ME3); Research and analysis of scientific articles (ME4); Activities in a small group (ME5); Simulated practice with tutorial guidance (ME6); Supervision and analysis in a real context (ME7).These ME integrate pedagogical innovation practices (PIP, see observations) that include online activities of: analysis and synthesis of articles or other content/sites with the production of summary presentations (PIP1); use of creation and application tools (PIP2).
