    This curricular unit aims to promote knowledge and skills in the field of psychometrics. The learning objectives aim to promote relevant and central theoretical-practical knowledge in this specific field, having been defined because they are important for students to continue their studies and be able, subsequently, to develop their professional activity. The syllabus will be taught using a variety of methodologies, aiming to promote the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and the necessary practical training.

    Objectives

    LO1: To recognize the importance of the study and evaluation of the psychometric qualities of psychological tests.  LO2: To demonstrate knowledge and practical skills to evaluate the psychometric qualities of psychological tests.  LO3: To describe the main methods of construction and validation of psychological tests, identifying the potentialities and limits associated with each one.  LO4: To recognize the different applications of psychological tests in different areas of psychology. LO5: To demonstrate technical and interpersonal knowledge in the use of psychological tests in different situations and practical contexts. LO6: To demonstrate knowledge about ethical-deontological issues in the use of psychological tests in different situations and practical contexts.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Methodologies: oral exposition, interactive dialogue, small group activities, peer feedback and teacher. The proposed and described teaching methodologies integrate a set of pedagogical innovation practices based on evidence, and adjusted to the objectives and contents of the curricular unit.
