Objectives
LO1: Understand the relevance of the developmental perspective for the study of adulthood, being able to describe and discuss the fundamentals and assumptions of development throughout the life span; LO2: To know theories, conceptual models, and empirical research designs for the study of psychological development in emergent adulthood, young adulthood, adulthood, and old age; LO3: Understand the processes and transitions of human development from emergent adulthood to older age, knowing, relating, and discussing the representative developmental tasks of each development phase; LO4: To know and to characterize central development domains of adolescent, adult and elderly, understanding its evolution throughout the life span; LO5: To develop observation and systematization skills concerning adult and elderly development processes, establishing relations with the theoretical assumptions.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
This curricular unit comprises lectures and practical classes. The lectures include expository moments (ME1) and participatory discussions (ME2). The practical classes include the following methodologies: the visualization of documentary sections (ME3) quizzes (ME4); the preparation and training of methodologies for observing the development of adults and older people (ME5), feedback from the professor and peers (ME6), adult observation in the field, semi-structured interviews (ME7) and the oral presentation of group work (ME8). The teaching methodologies proposed and described integrate a set of pedagogical innovation practices based on evidence and adjusted to the objectives and contents of the course.
