The course unit Workshop on Social Work Practices I aims to: Continue the process of acquiring knowledge and fostering critical reflection on the social reality in which Social Work operates; Deepen the understanding of the relevance of technical and operational tools in professional Social Work practice, enabling students to apply them effectively; Develop the ability to mobilize and articulate the various instruments required for designing and implementing appropriate responses to the needs identified within the target population.

Objectives
Objectives O1. Acquire and develop skills that strengthen the professional profile; O2. Develop the ability to observe the social reality in which Social Work takes place, identify different contexts, and apply technical-operational tools; O3. Strengthen the ability to plan and organize activities.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The course unit adopts active and reflective methodologies, student-centered and closely aligned with professional Social Work practice. The following are emphasized: i. Case studies and simulations to experiment with technical-operational tools; ii. Cooperative work to foster communication and collaboration skills; iii. Role-playing to practice relational competences; iv. Guided reflection to consolidate learning and encourage self-assessment. These methodologies aim to strengthen the professional profile, enhance the ability to analyze social reality, and support the well-founded application of intervention tools.
