    This UC continues the Dissertation Project UC in the 2nd semester of the 1st year, where students select a research topic, carry out a synthesis-review of the state of the art, establish research objectives/hypotheses and define the methodological procedures for the implementation of the research project.

    S1. Scientific writing and APA formatting and referencing standards. S2. Procedures and methodological aspects of implementing the research project (literature review, operationalization of research objectives and hypotheses, data collection, processing and analysis, and writing, interpretation and discussion of results). S3. Ethical procedures in the development and implementation of research in Justice Psychology. S4. Writing the dissertation is based on the requirements of scientific work. S5. Communication and dissemination of research results.

    Objectives

    The general objective of the CU is to support students in executing a research project of an original study, which will result in their dissertation. The aim is for students to be able to: LO1: Introduce revisions to improve the research project carried out in Project CU; LO2: Execute the research plan (collection, processing and analysis of data; writing, interpretation and discussion of results); LO3: Write the dissertation in the format of a scientific article; LO4. Orally communicate the results of an original study; LO5: Demonstrate skills of critical and ethical reflection on advanced research topics through participation in the research teams of dissertation supervisors.  To achieve these objectives, tutorial guidance, team-based learning, and project-based learning will be employed to ensure regular and continuous monitoring throughout the research project's execution.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching-learning methodologies of tutorial guidance (TM1), team-based learning (TM2) and project-based learning (TM3), consistent with the SC pedagogical model. This model assigns the student a central and active role in the learning process, emphasizing the construction, reflection and application of knowledge. In this course, students integrate the research teams of their supervisors and receive individualized tutorial guidance throughout the process of implementing the research plan and writing the dissertation.
