This CU is part of the 2nd cycle in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education, scientific area Training Teachers and Trainers in Technological areas. It aims to provide up-to-date basic knowledge and its reflection on the main issues of Specific Didactics of Orienteering, Canoeing and Mountaineering/Climbing as well as teaching the modalities that make up racket sports in a school context. Additionally, it is intended that students recognize the pertinence of this knowledge and reflections for the practical issues of their professional future.

PC1) The rules and regulation of the modalities, their terminology and the technical and/or tactical performance models; PC2) Adaptation of rules and safety in a school context; PC3) Teaching progressions and technical and/or tactical improvement of the modalities; PC4) Evaluation of the different domains of the teaching-learning process of modalities in a school context: methods and criteria.

Objectives
Objectives
Learning objectives (LO) are defined: LO1) Know the regulation, terminology and specific concepts, and the main technical and/or tactical aspects of the modalities; LO2) Know the main issues related to materials and their handling in order to ensure the safety and integrity of practitioners of the modalities; LO3) Acquire and apply knowledge regarding the methodological progressions of teaching modalities for the 2nd and 3rd cycles of Basic and Secondary Education; LO4) Observe and identify the most frequent technical and/or tactical errors of the modalities, determine their causes and consequences, and apply the means and methods of intervention to correct them; LO5) Implement and evaluate the teaching and learning activities of the modalities.

Different teaching methodologies (ME) will be used: Demonstration, experimentation and practical exercise (ME1) Pedagogical practices in a simulated situation of planning, organization and intervention within the scope of teaching/learning (ME2) Resolution of practical cases (ME3), Visioning and discussion documentaries/videos (ME4), Small group activities (ME5), Feedback information provided by the teacher about the work carried out (ME6).
