Carla Mouro

Resume

Carla Mouro is currently a Contracted Researcher at Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She completed her PhD in Social Psychology in 2011 at Iscte and was a FCT Pos-Doc fellow from 2014 to 2018 at Cis-Iscte. She was co-coordinator of Cis Research Group Psychange - Psychology of Societal Change in 2021-2022 and is currently a member of Cis Ethical Committee. Her work is at the interface of social, environmental and community psychology, focusing on how individuals and communities respond to and enable laws for sustainability, including those regulating protected areas and biodiversity conservation, and climate change adaptation. She has also been developing research on citizens' and workers' involvement in environmental issues, and representations, norms and identities linked to social and environmental risks. In the last 10 years, she has participated as a team member and/or local coordinator in more than 10 research projects, including 1 ERA-NET project, 3 European Commission LIFE Nature projects, 1 FCT national grant project and 2 national contract projects. Her work is published in 22 articles in scientific journals, 18 on international journals. She has collaborated as ad-hoc reviewer for over 20 scientific journals in the last 5 years. She is also an invited professor at Iscte, with teaching activities in several Masters, including the Masters in Psychology and Organizational Psychology and the Masters in Environmental and Sustainability Social Studies, and has supervised more than 30 master thesis in the last 5 years.
