Maria José Pereira Ferreira

Resume

Maria José Pereira Ferreira, Assistant Professor at the Lusófona University of Porto, completed her Ph.D. in Social Psychology in 2012 at the University of Minho and a Degree in Psychology, pre-specialization in Clinical and Health Psychology in 2002. Currently, presides over the Faculty of Psychology, Education Ethics Committee and is a member of the University Council and the Scientific Council of the Faculty. Works in the psychology area, emphasizing social psychology, community psychology, positive psychology, and development throughout the life span. She is a recognized specialist by the Portuguese Psychologists Order in Clinical and Health Psychology, Work, Social and Organizational Psychology, Community Psychology, and Psychogerontology. Also supervise internships and dissertations in clinical, health, and justice psychology. Has been involved in several research projects in positive human development and positive psychology, integrating international teams with applied research on well-being, positive orientation to life, emotions, coping strategies, autotelic personality, and optimal experience/flow.
