25 April as you've never seen it: unseen images of the most remarkable day in Portugal's history
As part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, RTP rescued the work of five filmmakers, currently almost forgotten, who recorded the historic moment of the 25th of April Revolution. The documentary "The Eyes of the Revolution", directed by Jacinto Godinho, professor at the Department of Communication Sciences (DCC) at Universidade Lusófona, tells their stories and presents never-before-seen images on television in Portugal, in color and with sound, from the most landmark in the country's history.
The public premiere of the documentary is scheduled for May 15th, with the presence of director Jacinto Godinho and guests Maria Inácia Rezola, president of the Executive Committee for the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, Adelino Gomes, notable reporter of the Revolution , and filmmaker Fernando Matos Silva. This event is a collaboration between the DCC and the Department of Cinema and Media Art (DCAM), in the context of the Cineclube organized by Prof. Edmundo Cordeiro, and will be introduced by the Magnificent Rector, Professor José Bragança de Miranda.
