PURE is Universidade Lusófona's scientific information management system (CRIS - Current Research Information System). This system covers the scientific output of research teams, including publications of various types and activities. It offers ULusófona researchers the possibility of creating and managing their CVs with individual access, allowing connections to be made between different types of content. This provides a comprehensive view at various levels: individual, department, research unit, organic unit and University.
In addition to providing scientific information management tools and reports at various levels at ULusófona, PURE data is also used for presentation on the ULusófona Research Portal, which offers the public an insight into the University's research activity. ULusófona's organic units can reuse the data in PURE to update their individual websites with lists of publications and personalized profiles of researchers. In addition, PURE facilitates compliance with the open access mandate by allowing the automated sending of validated publications to RUN (the national RCAAP network) and the European Commission's OpenAIRE.
PURE is also fully compatible with ORCID. This allows all content uploaded to PURE to be exportable to ORCID. ULusófona is also aligned with Ciência Vitae, the national science curriculum management system based on the DeGóis technology platform. In this way researchers can update their Ciência Vitae profiles with the data uploaded to ORCID.
