    Presentation

Shared Management refers to a collaborative or shared management model in the aviation industry, involving cooperation between different stakeholders, such as airport authorities, airlines, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders. CDM - Collaborative Decision Making  is an approach that aims to improve the operational efficiency and capacity of the air transportation system by involving collaboration between different parties to make more informed and coordinated decisions in real time. Awareness of how to integrate the knowledge from the syllabus into current management models, seeking to adapt it to an integrated Aviation Business Management model in its different aspects.

    Objectives

Curricular unit dedicated to studying the CDM program in order to motivate students to understand the need to improve the operational efficiency and capacity of the air transport system, involving collaboration between different parties to make more informed and coordinated decisions in real time. CDM - Airport Collaborative Decision Making is a concept that promotes collaborative work and the sharing of operational information between airport partners with the aim of improving the predictability of events and optimizing the use of resources, guaranteeing an increase in the overall efficiency of airport operations. The aim is therefore to introduce students to the decision-making process and the pooling of human and material resources, to develop an awareness of teamwork in decision-making processes and to understand how the CDM application works in operations and its efficiency in airport management. • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

Classes are theoretical and practical. The theoretical parts present the concepts, principles and theories essential to operations management with the application of CDM. In the practical parts, debate is promoted on case studies that illustrate the subject matter covered in the lectures, the reality of organizations in the aeronautics sector for the area of operations, as well as individual work that will later be presented and debated. Students are assessed in accordance with the university's assessment regulations: individual work (50%) and a test (50%) or final exam (100%).
