The Curricular Unit of Written Expression Techniques is essential for developing writing techniques of diverse types of texts - academic texts, multi-use texts, administrative texts, press texts and literary texts, in the Portuguese language. This Curricular Unit, through the dynamics of writing and communication, contributes to the development of self-assurance and creativity, as a personal brand, and for the formation of specialized profiles and enhancers of professional success.

1 - From the word to the text - Processes of word formation - Principles constituting the text: coherence, cohesion, connection - Sentence and paragraph 2 - What is writing? - Specificity of the written mode and stages of the redaction process: planning, drafting, revising 3 - Types of texts - Structure of academic texts: the report, the summary, the synthesis, the dissertation; the comment; - Structure of journalistic texts: news, editorial, chronic, opinion piece, story, interview - Structure of text utilities: minutes, reports, application, curriculum vitae - Characteristics of the iconic text 4 - Text and Discourse - Gender discourse - Sequences text: narrative, descriptive, argumentative.
