Objectives
Objectives
By approving this unit the student shall have acquired main fundamentals regarding human body organization, specially focusing homeostasis and respective regulating mechanisms - Nervous and Endocrine Systems. This will lead to a wider integrated vision about the organization of complex organisms, necessary to approach organs and systems physiology as for integrative physiology, all essential to further understand disease and its mechanisms.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
this curricular unit uses various active learning strategies such as the virtual human body from Anatomage, and biological signal simulators (Physioex) among others
