The curricular unit allows students to gain transversal knowledge to their studies allowing them to deepen techniques for reading, analysing and understanding scientific and other documents. It is intended that students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge that will allow them to understand all the approaches involved in structuring documents, reports and scientific presentations that will be crucial throughout their careers. These approaches are focused on discussion between peers and the development of critical and scientific thinking, as well as the transmission of their knowledge to diverse audiences, allowing students to develop strategies to achieve their professional goals.

The goal of this curricular unit is to ensure that the students acquire the capacity of i) understanding the importance of scientific communication over their career and its impact in society. ii) analysis and summary of important scientific information to be communicated over the student’s academic and professional path. iii) Communication of specific content for different target audience. iv) Project management in teams v) CV preparation and interview

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Theoretical - expository method using audiovisuals, whenever appropriate, interactive method and research work are used over the semester. The themes, techniques and methodologies are presented beforehand Continuous evaluation of the theoretical component involves: i) One written group or individual work within the scope selected by the student(s). ii) One orl presentataion. Each individual or group work is evaluated from 0 to 20 points.. The final grade is based on the weighted average: 40% individual/group work + 60% oral presentation.
