Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodology orientated towards technical knowledge of the signal and its manipulation, without neglecting artistic expression. Innovative methodologies include the use of various AI tools such as the creation of smart bins, text transcription, scene cut detector, watchfolders, and colour correction in a ‘future proof’ structure where the signal is kept at its widest and exported to TV, Cinema and RRSS and new protocols that may appear in the future. The classes have a strong practical component where students are taught to learn the tools of the Davinci Resolve grading software. The final grade is based on 3 exercises: Shaping a timeline and preparing for colourisation, (25%) Colourisation of a scene (50%) Export to various outputs (Digital Cinema (DCP), Digital Master (HQ), low resolution for sharing on Social Media) (25%)
