In a Phase 1 , this course aims to inform students of the national context of the Civil Protection, great performers and instruments. In a 2nd phase , students carry out research , presentation and discussion of some national paradigmatic cases of serious accidents, disasters and calamities , his previous analysis , response of national structures within the national Civil Protection . At this stage , work groups will be formed to research , research, processing and interpretation of results of national paradigmatic cases of civil protection in order to prepare a scientific paper , oral presentation of findings and results of discussion. Each student , beyond this working group had made an individual work of a serious accident , a disaster or a calamity has occurred nationally.

Syllabus
The syllabus address the national organizations responsible for the coordination of Civil Protection action at the municipal, sub-regional, regional and national levels. To consolidate the knowledge of the course, students in their cases of civil protection study will make an analysis of the response of civil protection structures acting at the time of the case study, drawing a parallel with the model of action of current structures

Objectives
Objectives
The course aims at gathering information , presentation, analysis and discussion of cases of civil protection that allows the student to acquire specific knowledge about the most paradigmatic events that occurred in the country and enable it to retain the "lessons " correspondents, habilitando- also with the sensitivity and specific knowledge that boost the response in future contexts. The unit , which is linked to the previous with the same title , also aims to strengthen the capacity of independent work and student research as well as their skills in scientific communication.
