Objectives
Objectives
To recognize the scope and possibilities of representation as “spatial identities” in the context of groups, communities and other entities that could be recognized as particular “territories”; To expose students to a wide range of illustrative, graphic and artistic approaches and encourage them to explore and test them as communication tools in diverse situations, both appropriately “as intended” and against the norm. To promote the development of theoretical-practical approaches to drawing and illustration that explore and question the traditions of the field, seeking references to other artistic areas, such as design, fine art/public art/land art, illustration, and new media. To establish the concept of drawing as research. Providing students with explorative techniques to find ways to discover and reveal territorial elements.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
In the CU innovative methodologies are at the forefront of the teaching-learning process. Expanded drawing and experimental practices are in themselves innovative processes. This CU give historical contexts and the students are encouraged to learn from this and devise their own processes of investigation and experimentation. This is done through a methodology of research, site specific fieldwork, installation and field testing.
