Objectives
Objectives
Learning outcomes: - Supply service voltages in Portugal. - Electrical switchgear. Characteristics and operating principles of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear. - Earthing diagrams used at low voltage. - Dimensioning of feeders (electrical cables) and their protections. - Grounds. Protections in the various ELTs. Land realization. - Regulations and standards. Technical Rules. - Design and sizing of a simple electrical installation. - Reactive energy compensation. - Electrical switchboards. Main types and sizing. - Electrical National System. Low and medium voltage electrical installations in the in regulatory and inspection bodies. - Rescue and emergency generator sets. - Protection against lightning strikes. - Interpretation of simple electrical schematics. - Interior and exterior lighting. Design citéria.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
There are not held exposition classes. The teaching objectives are achieved with theoretical-practical classes, where practical application exercises are carried out. The evaluation will be carried out with small individual tests and the realization of small group work.
