Objectives
Goals: • Understand the general framework of economic analysis; • Analyze the functioning of the economy in terms of its most relevant functions; • Understand the dynamics of the economy and the current context of complexity and uncertainty Skills and competences to be developed: • Apply reading grids and acquired knowledge to explain economics phenomena; • Interpret the relevant economic issues related to analysis and theory economic; • Effectively communicate the relevant issues of the economy in the different forms of language, written, oral, graphic and numerical; • Be able to develop self-learning processes with a high degree of autonomy and in a group work context.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The UC uses active student-centered teaching-learning methods, through an appropriate combination of exposing the syllabus with the discussion of topics and specialized articles of general interest, prompting critical reflection and promoting group dynamics, as well as self-learning through consultation of specialized sources and websites, duly guided by the professor.
